Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 10, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Conexión-es, a service of Pilón Qubit Ventures LLC. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the "Service").

Conexión-es is an orientation and information service. It is not a law firm, it does not provide legal advice, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by USCIS, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, CBP, or any government agency. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you:

  • Create an Account: Name, email address, password, and language preference
  • Subscribe to Premium (web): Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles all web billing and card details. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Subscribe to Premium (mobile): In-app purchases are billed by the Apple App Store on iOS and by Google Play on Android. The app never sees your card details. RevenueCat reconciles your subscription status across platforms and receives an internal account identifier (an autoincrement account id, not your name, email, or card details).
  • Use the AI Assistant: Questions, conversations, and feedback you submit. The questions you send are processed by Moonshot AI to generate answers.
  • Add Trusted Contacts: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and relationships of the contacts you choose for emergency alerts (Premium)
  • Contact Us: Any information you provide when you contact customer support

We never ask for or collect your immigration status.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access the Service, we automatically collect certain information about your device and usage:

  • Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on pages, click patterns
  • Anonymous App Install Count (mobile app only): The first time you open the iOS or Android app, it creates a random install code on your phone. At most once a day the app sends that code, the platform (iOS or Android) and the app version, so we can count installs and active devices. We store only the code, platform, version and the first and last date it was seen. It is not linked to your account, contains no personal information, location, or device or advertising identifier, and is deleted from your phone when you uninstall the app. On our servers, an install code not seen for 13 months is deleted automatically.
  • Product Analytics (HeyCatch): We use HeyCatch, an analytics service, to see which features help families and fix what confuses them. It receives the pages you open, the taps you make (without the text on the screen), your browser and device type, and your IP address, which it can use to estimate an approximate location. If you are signed in, it also receives an internal account number and your plan (free or Premium), and when an account is created or Premium starts, the sign-in method or store used. It never receives your name, email, phone, what you type, your AI chat, your emergency contacts, or anything about your immigration situation, and it does not record your screen. On the website, we honor your browser's Do Not Track setting; account and Premium counts from our servers still happen.
  • Approximate Location: General geographic location derived from your IP address, used for analytics and to show locally relevant content.
  • Precise Location (only with your permission): If you use the Emergency Alert (panic) feature, we collect your device's precise GPS coordinates at that moment. We use them only to include your location in the emergency alert you send to your own trusted contacts. Precise location is encrypted at rest, is never sold, and is shared only with the emergency contacts you choose, except as required by law (see the disclosures section below). You can decline the location permission and still use the rest of the app.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Session cookies, authentication tokens, analytics cookies

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from third-party services:

  • OAuth Providers: If you sign in using Google or another OAuth provider, we receive your name, email, and profile picture
  • Subscription Providers: Stripe (web), the Apple App Store and Google Play (mobile), and RevenueCat (which reconciles status across platforms) provide us with your subscription and entitlement status. We do not receive your full payment card details from any of them.

2.4 Checking Your Case Status

The Service does not retrieve, track, or store your immigration case status. The "Case Status" section links out to the official government sites, the USCIS case status page (egov.uscis.gov) and the EOIR automated case information system (acis.eoir.justice.gov). You enter your receipt number or other information directly on those government sites. The app never sends, sees, or stores what you type there. There is no automatic case checking.

4.6 Aggregated and Anonymized Data

We may share aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you individually for research or other purposes.

5. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to help protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:

7.5 Do Not Track

Our Service does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals from browsers. We use cookies and tracking technologies as described in this policy.
